Samarahan Bike Challenge 2026

The Samarahan Bike Challenge 2026 returns for its landmark 10th edition on 28 June 2026, bringing competitive road cycling action to the streets of Samarahan, Sarawak. Organised by Pejabat Daerah Samarahan and managed by ZASS Events Management, this criterium-style race takes place around The Summer Mall and is sanctioned by the cycling authority of Sarawak. With a total prize pool of RM22,900, this is one of Sarawak’s most prestigious grassroots cycling events of the year.

The race features 8 competitive categories catering to all ages and abilities — from young riders in the Youth categories (15 and below) to seasoned masters competing in Master A (35–44 years) and Master B (45 and above). The premier Men Open and Sarawak Closed categories race over 7 laps, while Junior, Master A, and Master B categories contest 6 laps. Women Open riders compete over 4 laps, and Youth categories race 3 laps. Category champions can earn up to RM1,500 in the Men Open, with prizes awarded down to 10th place.

The race circuit loops around The Summer Mall and through Kampung Sindang, offering a fast and technical course on closed roads — ideal for both sprinters and tactically-minded racers. The route is largely flat (as shown in the elevation profile), making it a high-speed affair with exciting bunch finishes expected.

Participants receive an official Samarahan Bike Challenge 2026 jersey (designed by Pro Apparel Sarawak) along with a race bib. Registration is RM95 per individual, with a group discount of RM400 for 5 riders (excluding Youth). Youth category entry is free of charge. Additional category entry is available for just RM10.
