The PDRM Penang International 2nd Bridge Solidarity Fun Ride 2026 (also marketed as the 2nd Bridge Night Ride) was a 52km mass-participation night ride held on Saturday, 3 January 2026, organised by the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) — IPD Timur Laut. Riders flagged off at 9:30pm from Queensbay Mall and rode out across the Sultan Abdul Halim Mu’adzam Shah Bridge — Penang’s second crossing and Malaysia’s longest bridge at 24km — before returning to the start.
The 2026 edition drew around 2,500 participants from 17 countries, a step up from previous years, and was preceded by phased closures of the Sultan Abdul Halim Mu’adzam Shah Bridge to manage traffic during the ride. Registration was handled via gosportz.my and closed on 15 November 2025. Entry fees were RM160 for the first 1,000 early-bird riders and RM180 standard, open to riders aged 13 and above.
Finishers received an event jersey, finisher T-shirt, goodies bag, hand towel, wristband, finisher medal, digital certificate, and post-ride refreshments. The event is a community / solidarity ride rather than a competitive race, with a focus on cross-border participation and police-community engagement.
This is a past event — the 2026 edition has already taken place. If a follow-up edition is announced for 2027, it will appear on our events page when registration opens. For active Penang cycling, the Penang regional guide covers year-round options including the popular Penang Round Island route.
