The 2026 Melaka International Sports Festival returns to the historic shores of Melaka on 29–30 August 2026, bringing together athletes of all ages and abilities for a thrilling celebration of sport and heritage. Hosted at the iconic Encore Melaka, this international event lives up to its tagline — Where Sports Meets Heritage — combining world-class multi-discipline racing with the stunning backdrop of one of Malaysia’s most beloved UNESCO World Heritage cities.
The festival features three exciting disciplines: Triathlon, T13 Aquathlon, and Duathlon — each offering multiple distance categories to cater to everyone from young children to seasoned veterans. Triathlon categories include Super Sprint, Sprint, Standard, and Standard Relay (Male/Female/Mixed), with age groups ranging from 10 to 60 & above. The T13 Aquathlon welcomes participants from as young as U7 through its KiTS category, all the way up to Sprint open age groups. The Duathlon mirrors this inclusive structure with KiTS, Super Sprint, Sprint, Standard, and Standard Relay options for ages U7 and above.
Early Bird registration is open until 2 June, with fees starting from RM140 for Duathlon KiTS and up to RM720 for Triathlon Standard Relay teams. Normal registration closes on 31 July 2026. All participants receive a fantastic entitlement package including a one-of-a-kind Finisher Medal, an Exclusive Finisher Tee, a Timing Chip, Tattoo Number, and a Bib Number. Triathlon and Aquathlon participants also receive an Event Swim Cap, while Triathlon and Duathlon participants get Helmet Sticker and Bike Sticker as well.
