Kuala Baram Cycling Race 5.0 – 2026

The Kuala Baram Cycling Race 5.0 is back for its fifth edition, bringing competitive road cycling action to the beautiful coastal city of Miri, Sarawak. Held on 1–2 August 2026, this two-day festival of cycling — themed Pedalling Through Nature — is jointly organised by Miri City Council and Masterpiece Cycling Club, with support from the Ministry of Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts Sarawak.

Day 1 (Saturday, 1 August) kicks off with the Team Time Trial (TTT), a 20km race flagging off at 8AM from Junction Jalan Maigold along the scenic Jalan Lutong–Kuala Baram coastal road. Teams compete across three categories: Men Open, Men Master, and Sarawak Closed, with prizes ranging from RM150 (5th place) up to RM550 (1st place) per category. Day 2 (Sunday, 2 August) features the Mass Start Individual Road Race, a 20km circuit starting at Miri City Hall, passing through Jalan Marina Utama, Brighton, Bakam, coastal Bintulu–Miri highway, Jalan Luak Bay, Tanjong Lubang, and back. Individual categories include Men Open, Men Master A, Men Master B, Men Veteran, Men Junior, and Women Open, with top prizes of up to RM1,500. Sprint Champion and KOM Champion special prizes of RM100 each are also up for grabs.

All registered participants receive an event T-shirt, finisher medal, race bib, timing transponder, and insurance coverage. Sunday road race participants also enjoy post-race refreshments. Team Overall prizes are awarded across Men Open, Men Master, and Sarawak Closed categories, with the champion team taking home RM1,500.

Early Bird registration is open until 30 April 2026 — teams save RM150 and individuals save RM20 by registering early. The registration deadline is 31 July 2026.
