About the Ride

The Audax Santai 600 7.0 is the seventh instalment of one of Audax Randonneurs Malaysia’s most cherished annual brevets. True to its name — santai meaning relaxed or easy-going in Malay — this ride celebrates the spirit of randonneuring: not a race, but a personal journey of endurance, self-navigation, and camaraderie over 600 kilometres of Malaysian road.

The Category

This event offers a single category: the BRM600, a Brevet de Randonneurs Mondiaux over 600km. Riders must complete the route within the official ACP time limit of 40 hours. Upon successful completion and validation of your brevet card at all controls, you will earn an ACP homologation number — a globally recognised credential in the randonneuring community. This ride counts towards the prestigious Super Randonneur series (SR) when combined with BRM200, BRM300, and BRM400 completions.

What to Expect

Riders self-navigate the fixed route and collect stamps at designated controls (checkpoints) along the way. The event is fully self-supported — there are no support vehicles or race organisation following you. You are responsible for your own nutrition, navigation, and mechanical needs between controls. Early morning flag-off (typically around 5:00am) means riders will experience the full range of Malaysian riding conditions: cool dawn starts, midday heat, and night riding. Prepare your lights, your kit, and your mindset accordingly.
