The Asia Triathlon Junior Cup Kampar 2026 is an elite international multisport event taking place from 11–14 June 2026 at the UTAR Kampar Campus, Perak, Malaysia. The event serves as a dual-sanctioned international competition under the World Triathlon Development Regional Cup and the Asia Triathlon Junior Cup, while simultaneously hosting the Malaysian National Championships for Sprint Distance, Junior, and U15 categories. With an expected 200 Malaysian athletes and 300 international athletes from up to 23 countries, this is one of the most significant triathlon events on the regional calendar.

The event features several race categories catering to elite and developing athletes. The World Triathlon Development Regional Cup is open to all triathletes aged 18 and above at no cost (FOC), welcoming both competitive and amateur participants. The Asia Triathlon Junior Cup targets young athletes aged 16–19 (registration: RM600) and includes a Mixed Team Relay (Super Sprint) at RM1,600 per team. A U15 category is also contested with medals and gifts as prizes. Prize money for the Asia Triathlon Junior Cup elite categories includes USD 750 for Men Elite, USD 750 for Women Elite, and USD 1,500 for Mixed Team Relay, awarded to the Top 3 finishers.

All races follow a Full Circuit format (Swim + Bike + Run) on Sprint or Super Sprint distances. Course familiarisation sessions for all disciplines take place on Friday, 12 June at Lake 18 and UTAR Kampar’s purpose-built race venue. Athlete briefings, bike checks, and race pack collection are also scheduled on Friday afternoon at Grand Kampar Hotel, the official hub hotel for the event.

Kampar is a historic tin-mining town nestled in the Kinta Valley, Perak, and is home to UTAR — surrounded by lush greenery and one of Malaysia’s largest freshwater lakes spanning 7,000 acres. The venue is approximately 2 hours from Kuala Lumpur via the North-South Expressway (Kampar toll exit). Beyond the race, athletes and supporters can enjoy eco-tourism, hiking trails, water rafting, and the vibrant local food scene. This event also supports national athlete selection for major games in 2026/2027 and contributes to Olympic ranking points for junior athletes targeting 2028.
