Tourism Pahang KOM Genting Highlands 2026 takes riders up one of Malaysia’s most legendary and demanding climbs on Monday, 26 October 2026. The 55km cyclosportive starts at Dataran Bentong and finishes at Genting Highlands (Petron) after accumulating 2,457m of elevation.
The single flag-off is at 7:45 AM, with both Elite and Non-Competitive riders released together. Participants have 4.5 hours to complete the route, and the race ends at 1:00 PM. Participation is capped at 1,000 riders, and all entrants must be at least 16 years old as of 31 December 2026.
The Elite Individual wave includes men’s, women’s, junior, masters, veteran, and men’s heavyweight categories. Elite teams consist of three riders, with rankings based on the combined time of the fastest two. Riders who want the Genting challenge without competing for a podium can enter the Non-Competitive individual or team category, where times are recorded but not ranked. A separate Climb prize rewards the fastest men and women across predetermined climbing sections.
Prize money
Cash prizes are offered for Elite Individual, Elite Team, and Climb categories. Individual and Climb podiums pay from RM1,500 for first place down to RM100 for fifth, while the winning men’s and women’s Elite teams each receive RM3,000.
Every registered rider receives a dry pouch, timing, insurance, a race photo package, and a medal upon finishing. Riders who finish within the cut-off receive a finisher T-shirt, while other participants receive a commemorative T-shirt. Entry also includes the pasta party at Resorts World Awana on 25 October. Transport from the official hotel to the start and back from the Festival Village is provided only to official-hotel guests.
Race-pack collection, bike check-in, and bag drop take place at Dataran Bentong from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM on Sunday, 25 October. Riders must present their IC or passport and e-registration.
Road, mountain, city, and cross bikes are allowed. E-bikes may participate but are not ranked. Recumbents, disc wheels, and triathlon or aero bars are prohibited. Helmets and photo identification are compulsory throughout the event.
