The International Golden Monsoon Ride & Run 2026 (IGMRR) is a multi-discipline sporting event held under the Terengganu Inc Challenge Series, embracing the spirit of Rain / Run / Ride across the scenic landscapes of Kuala Nerus, Terengganu. Taking place on 18-19 December 2026 at Kompleks Sukan Negeri Terengganu, Gong Badak, the event welcomes up to 4,000 participants across running and cycling categories.
Participants can choose from four categories: the 21km Half Marathon (RM109), the 10km Competitive Run (RM89), the 5km Fun Run (RM59), and the 41km Fun Ride (RM89). The 41km cycling route takes riders through the heart of Kuala Nerus, passing landmarks such as Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin (UniSZA), Sultan Mahmud Airport, and the coastal villages of Batu Rakit, with pit stops at KM21.3 (Pusat Tarbiyah Islamiyah Batu Rakit) and KM32.5 (Dataran Bandar Baru Kuala Nerus). Running routes are well-supported with multiple water stations throughout.
All participants receive a microfiber sublimation running tee, finisher medal, e-certificate, refreshment after race, bib number, lucky draw entry, and insurance coverage. Half marathon finishers enjoy premium extras including a finisher tee, timing chip, energy gel, and towel. Early bird registrants (first 500 participants) across all categories also receive a sports cap. The event is proudly supported by technical partners Absolute Wellness, Terengganu Cycling Team (TSG), and race management experts TL Race Management.
Note that only the 41km Fun Ride is a cycling category; the other three are running events. December is peak monsoon season on the east coast, which is the point of the name, so expect rain. Registration is on checkpointspot.asia.
