Kuala Baram Cycling Race 5.0 – 2026

Kuala Baram Cycling Race 5.0 is back for its fifth edition, themed Pedalling Through Nature, bringing competitive cycling to the beautiful coastal roads of Miri, Sarawak on 1–2 August 2026. Jointly organised by Miri City Council and Masterpiece Cycling Club, and supported by the Ministry of Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts Sarawak, this two-day race promises an exciting weekend for cyclists of all competitive levels.

Day 1 – Team Time Trial (TTT) takes place on Saturday, 1 August 2026 with an 8AM flag-off from Junction Jalan Maigold along Jalan Lutong–Kuala Baram. Teams race a 20km out-and-back coastal course, competing in Men Open, Men Master, and Sarawak Closed categories. Top 5 teams in each category win prizes ranging from RM150 to RM550, with additional Team Overall prizes of up to RM1,500.

Day 2 – Mass Start Individual Road Race on Sunday, 2 August 2026 starts at 7AM from Miri City Hall, Jalan Bandaraya. The 20km circuit winds through Jalan Marina Utama, Jalan Brighton, Jalan Bakam, Jalan Coastal Bintulu–Miri, Pan Borneo Highway, Jalan Luak Bay, and back — offering riders breathtaking views of Miri’s coastline and natural surroundings. Categories include Men Open, Men Master A & B, Men Veteran, Men Junior, and Women Open, with prize money up to RM1,500 for 1st place and payouts down to 10th place. Special Sprint Champion and KOM Champion awards (RM100 each) are also up for grabs.

All registered participants receive an event T-shirt, finisher medal, race bib, timing transponder, insurance coverage, and refreshments after the Sunday race.
