Putrajaya Night Ride Series 2026 - Round 1

The Putrajaya Night Ride Series runs on the last Saturday of every month, making it one of Malaysia’s most popular regular cycling events. Putrajaya’s wide, smooth boulevards, dramatic architecture, and excellent lighting create a magical cycling experience after dark. The 30km route takes riders past all of Putrajaya’s major landmarks, from the Prime Minister’s Office to the Seri Wawasan Bridge, all illuminated against the night sky.

The route changes slightly each month to keep things fresh for regulars, but always includes the scenic lakeside roads and at least three of Putrajaya’s distinctive bridges. The pace is social rather than competitive, with marshals maintaining a comfortable group speed of 20-25km/h. This makes it ideal for beginners, families (children over 12 with their own bikes), and experienced riders looking for a relaxed evening spin.

Each round starts at 8pm from Putrajaya Challenge Park, with registration and kit collection from 6:30pm. Front and rear lights are mandatory, and high-visibility clothing is recommended. The series is incredibly affordable at RM35 per round, which includes an event bib number, light refreshments at the finish, and a finisher’s sticker. Many riders attend every round, creating a strong community feel. Putrajaya is easily accessible via KLIA Transit or by car, with ample free parking at the start venue.
