The Port Dickson International Triathlon is one of Malaysia’s most established multisport events, held at the popular beach resort town just 90 minutes south of KL. Pantai Teluk Kemang provides a sheltered bay for the swim, while the bike course along the Port Dickson coastal road (the Blue Route) is one of the flattest and fastest triathlon courses in the region.

The Olympic-distance bike course follows a 20km out-and-back along the coast, completed twice for a total of 40km. The road is wide, smooth, and almost entirely flat, with the sea visible for most of the route. The Sprint course covers the same road once, while the new Super Sprint distance (10km bike) is designed specifically for first-time triathletes. All bike courses are draft-legal for the Super Sprint and non-drafting for Sprint and Olympic distances.

Port Dickson’s proximity to KL makes it extremely accessible, and many participants make a same-day trip. For those staying overnight, the beach town offers accommodation ranging from budget chalets to luxury resorts. The event atmosphere is festive and beginner-friendly, with a strong emphasis on participation and personal achievement. A mini triathlon clinic is offered on the Saturday afternoon for first-timers, covering transition setup, race rules, and basic tips.
