Perak MTB XC Series Round 2 2026

The Perak MTB XC Series continues with Round 2 at the Silverlake Outdoor Recreation area near Batu Gajah. This venue has rapidly become one of Peninsular Malaysia’s most popular mountain biking destinations, with purpose-built trails that offer a technical yet flowing cross-country experience. The 5km circuit features a balanced mix of climbing, technical descending, and flat speed sections.

The Open category races four laps, demanding endurance and consistency over approximately 45-60 minutes of racing. Technical features include a rock garden descent, root-covered climbs through secondary forest, a pump track section, and fast gravel transitions between trail sections. The Fun category completes two laps, making it accessible to intermediate riders and those new to XC racing. Age-group prizes are awarded in 5-year brackets from Under-15 to Masters 55+.

Silverlake is located between Ipoh and Kampar, making it accessible from both cities. The venue has parking, toilets, and a small refreshment area. Practice laps are available on the morning before racing begins, giving riders a chance to familiarise themselves with the course. The Perak MTB XC Series runs four rounds per year at different venues across the state, with overall series prizes awarded at the final round.
